Small volunteer teams walk set routes each week, meeting people where they are and offering consistent, friendly support. Alongside essential items such as food, clothing, toiletries, and mobile phones, Skywalks provide something often missing - conversation, recognition, and trust.

Many of the individuals we meet are experiencing profound isolation. Skywalks create a reliable point of connection, where people are known, remembered, and treated with dignity.

Our Skywalks programme includes:

Consistent presence: Weekly outreach in the same locations, building trust over time through familiar faces and reliable support.

Human connection: Conversations that reduce isolation, restore dignity, and create a sense of belonging.

Practical support: Distribution of essential items, as well as sourcing specific requests such as sleeping bags, phones, or other urgent needs.

Early intervention: Identifying needs and risks early, allowing us to respond directly or connect individuals with specialist support.

Community involvement: Volunteer-powered teams bringing together people from all backgrounds to be part of the solution.

Skywalks are often the first step in a longer journey - creating the relationships and trust that enable people to move forward into programmes like Lighthouse and beyond.
